Full house at the nationwide viewing tournament U 17 in Herne

The 28th Mario Kwiat memorial tournament took place in Herne as the first major inspection measure of the U17s since the beginning of the corona pandemic. More than 250 male and around 140 female judokas from all over the republic came together to determine the winners under the supervision of the national U18 coach, Sandra Klinger. With our own test center on site, the 3G rule could be adhered to.

The boys and girls went to the mat with commitment and it became clear that they had trained a lot since the restart. The whole day was fought on five mats with the weighing times distributed. The national coaches U 18 female and male, Frank Urban and Jan Tefett, could be satisfied. With 102 points, the NWJV won the rating of the regional associations.

The national coach was also satisfied: “The organization of this event under the difficult conditions was successful. There were few surprises on the mat. You could see good actions, but it was noticeable that especially the youngest U17 class lacked competitive practice . “
