Ancelotti accepts Messi to win 2021 Ballon d’Or

Madrid

Lionel Messi’s success in winning the 2021 Ballon d’Or raises many pros and cons. Even so, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti asked all parties to respect the decision.

Messi won the highest points in this year’s assessment. The Paris Saint-Germain striker got 613 points, ahead of Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich) who only got 580 points. In third place is Jorginho (Chelsea) who got 460 points.

Many people questioned the result, especially those who felt Lewandowski deserved to win it. Moreover, he scored a total of 103 goals with Bayern over the last two seasons. Especially this season, he has scored 25 goals from 20 matches.

The award for best striker Lewandowski was accused of being just a ‘consolation prize’ for the man from Poland, considering that the category was just launched by France Football at this year’s event.

Regarding the turmoil, Ancelotti was diplomatic and refused to enter the debate ring. He thinks Messi is great, so it’s only legal to be selected to win the Ballon d’Or this year, or the seventh for the Argentine superstar.

“You have to give credit for the results announced. Messi has won it and he is still a great player. There is nothing more to add,” Ancelotti said, quoted Mark.

“For the players, individual awards are obviously important, but if they don’t win it, that’s not a problem either.”

“Hopefully next year, Real Madrid will win the award. (Karim) Benzema had a good season yesterday and is fourth (below Jorginho). He will continue to play with the motivation to be first (win the Ballon d’Or). ,” explained Ancelotti.
