An unlikely player competes with Steph Curry and joins him in the story!

Hot boiling since the start of the season, Steph Curry has competition, and we are not talking about Kevin Durant! This Monday evening, it was Jonas Valanciunas who caught fire, with a cardboard behind the arc.

While the Warriors are shining on this start to the season, so is Steph Curry, which is on a real cloud. But the leader is not the only one to impress, since he has just been joined in history by an astonishing player: Jonas Valanciunas. The latter went into fusion this Monday evening, and it was the poor Clippers who paid the price.

The incredible box of Jonas Valanciunas, who destroys the Clippers!

Decidedly, Tyronn Lue’s men are not having much luck. When it’s not Curry that catches fire, it’s Valanciunas in the next match. His stats? 32 minutes, 39 points at 15/24 shooting, including 7/8 at three points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Best of all? He started with a 7/7 behind the arc in one half: a real sniper.

A completely crazy match for the pivot, which allows New Orleans to win by the score of 123-104. A butcher’s shop in Los Angeles, and a good success for the Pelicans, who point to a record of 6/17. It’s not famous, but it’s an improvement, still without Zion Williamson. By the way, the former Grizzly takes the opportunity to join Curry in the story, just that.

Jonas Valanciunas is the 6th player in history to score 7/7 with three points in a single half. The others are Trevor Ariza (2014), Stephen Curry (2013), Ben Gordon (2012), Shawne Williams (2011) and Raef LaFrentz (2005).

Big game from Jonas Valanciunas, who could not miss anything during this first half against poor Clippers, with no solution in front of him. There are evenings like this when everything goes: good for the Pelicans, who needed it.
