The Atlanta Braves celebrated their triumph in the World Series of Major League Baseball against the Houston Astros (7-0) in the city on Friday.

According to the police, 300,000 to 400,000 fans cheered the Braves at the parade three days after winning their first title in 26 years. Club President Alex Anthopoulos watched the parade from a private suite in Truist Park Stadium due to a Covid-19 infection. “This parade was the most incredible thing we have ever seen,” he said. “We will be world champions for the rest of our lives, each and every one of us in this stadium.”

After the festivities, another topic will come back into focus – the contract extension with superstar Freddie Freeman, who has played for the Braves for twelve years but will be a “free agent” from winter on. This means that he is not contractually bound to a team and can decide on his own future.
