[미디어투데이=안상일 기자] Miryang City Hall’s badminton team won the men’s general team event at the ‘2021 National Unemployment & School Badminton Championships’.
In this competition held at Namhae Indoor Gymnasium from November 17th to 24th, the Miryang City Hall team won the championship 3-0 against the powerful Chungju City Hall in the final.
The Miryang City Hall team won the 102nd National Sports Festival this year, won the National Winter University Unemployment Team Championship, won the category Badminton Championship in singles (player Son Wan-ho), took the singles runner-up at the National Fall Badminton Championships (player Kim Dong-hoon), and placed 3rd in the team event. They swept various competitions and stood tall as the nationally recognized strongest team.
Mayor of Miryang Park Il-ho said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the players who have won the championship cup consecutively following the last competition.
Meanwhile, Miryang City is planning to hold major domestic badminton competitions, such as the Wonwon Yonex Korea Junior Open International Badminton Championships and the National Badminton Tournament for elementary/middle/university/industrial times in Korea.
