Yohan Berteau Duplan won the black belt

Judoka Yohan Berteau Duplan won the black belt by bringing back the points he lacked after fights in Mèze, Sunday, October 17.

Yohan started judo in Lansargues at the age of 9. An example of hard work and self-sacrifice in training, he has always been involved in competitive judo. He participated in the departmental regrouping of the sports group from the youngest category and in all the interdepartmental courses in Mèze. He then joined the high-level structure, the Pôle Espoirs judo at the Mermoz high school in Montpellier from the second class. Currently in his final year, he joined the elite Montpellier Judo Olympic club since the start of the school year.

Despite two very difficult years for the practice of judo due to the health crisis, he showed perseverance and obtained the black belt. Nicolas Berthaud, Yohan’s first teacher, and Florian Zitoun, who joined the teaching team, are very proud of this success. The link is also still very strong between the Lansarguois club and Yohan, his mother Alexandra still being vice-president.

The dojo, which is located in the sports hall, is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m., for judo from 4 years old and taïso (health sport).
