World ranking: Schwartzman lagged behind Federer

Diego Schwartzman fell back to 16th. position in the world tennis rankings and was below the Swiss legend Roger Federer (15), which fell for the second week in a row after leaving the “top ten” last Monday.

Federer resigned four positions and precedes the “Peque”, for whom the points of the final reached in the ATP of Antwerp were not enough for the promotion of the Canadian Denis Shapovalov and British Cameron Norrie, champion of the last Masters 1000 in Indian Wells.

The Italian Jannik Sinner, winner of the Argentine in the definition of the Belgian tournament, rose two places and placed eleventh, on the threshold of access to the “top ten” that only had one castling between eighth and ninth.

The ordering of this privileged group is as follows: 1) Novak Djokovic (Serbia); 2) Daniil Medvedev (Russia); 3) Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece); 4) Alexander Zverev (Germany); 5) Rafael Nadal (Spain); 6) Andrey Rublev (Russia); 7) Matteo Berrettini (Italy); 8) Casper Ruud (Norway); 9) Dominic Thiem (Austria) and 10) Hubert Hurkacz (Poland).

In the “top 100” are five other Argentines: Federico Delbonis (41, -1); Federico Coria (74, -6); Guido Pella (80, +2); Facundo Bagnis (81) and Juan Manuel Cerúndolo (94, +8).

The WTA women’s classification, led by Australian Ashleigh Barty, shows Rosario Nadia Podoroska in 84th place (-2).
