The women’s badminton team continued their cruise at the Danish Open Championship.
Women’s singles Ahn Se-young (Samsung Life Insurance, world ranking 8th) beat Fusala Sindhu (India) in the women’s singles quarterfinals of the World Badminton Federation (BWF) World Tour Super 1000 Denmark Open held in Odense, Denmark on the 22nd (local time) with a set score of 2 -0 (21-11 21-12) and advanced to the semifinals.
On the same day, Kim So-young (Incheon International Airport) and Gong Hee-yong (Jeonbuk Bank), who participated in the women’s doubles quarterfinals on the same day, defeated Liu Xuan-Xuan-Xiaiting (China) 2-0 (21-11 21-17). World ranking 4th place Lee So-hee and Shin Seung-chan (Incheon International Airport above) also succeeded in advancing to the quarterfinals by defeating Putita Supajirakul-Sapsiri Taratanachai (Thailand) 2-0 (21-18 23-21).
Ahn Se-young will play Kirsty Gilmore (Scotland) in the women’s singles semi-final on the afternoon of the 23rd, and Kim So-young and Gong Hee-yong will face off against Lee So-hee and Shin Seung-chan in the women’s boxing quarter-finals.
