Many fans, the media and experts are staring at the upcoming Ballon d’Or award. The election for the best footballer of the year has seldom been as exciting as this year. Rumor has it that it all boils down to a duel between Robert Lewandowski and Lionel Messi.
On Wednesday, the list with the supposed end result appeared on Twitter. According to the leak, Robert Lewandowski will be awarded the golden ball this year.
Lewandowski prevails against Messi and Benzema
In the picture, which is currently circulating on Twitter, you can see a list with the French heading “Classement”. In German: evaluation, ranking. The date October 25 is also noted on the list. Since last Friday (October 22nd) no more votes can be cast for the Ballon d’Or election, so it may well be that the leak is the real ranking.
According to the list, Lewandowski secured first place with 627 votes. Lionel Messi follows in second place. The Argentine’s score cannot be seen in the picture. Real star Karim Benzema is third with 526 points.
BVB striker Erling Haaland is in 8th place with 78 points and has thus made it into the top 10.
Whether this is the real end result is open and will not be known until November 29th at the official award ceremony of the Ballon d’Or in Paris.
