Calabria, Francesco De Bartolo from Cosenza wins first place in the Italian Cup of bench press: it is a new record
New record for the athlete from Cosenza Francesco De Bartolo who wins first place in the race Italian Cup of bench press 2021 in a two-day event organized by the FIPE (Italian Weightlifting Federation) last weekend in the PalaEventi in Rossano. The thirty-two-year-old athlete De Bartolo, a rising star from Calabria in this discipline, takes home his personal best by lifting 143 kg in the -80 kg weight category and which leads him to climb the ranking among the top twenty at the national level.
Excellent results also for his companions of squad: Virginia Stabile wins first place by lifting 50 kg in the -67 kg weight category; first place also for Fabio D’Andrea in the Master 45 category and second place for Francesca Benvenuto. Stable, D’Andrea and Benvenuto are in their first competitive bench press competition. The four athletes trained by Mirko Portadibasso, registered by the ASD Dojo Judo but coming from the Hedonism of Cosenza, thus enter the national rankings that will be published in the coming days.
