Warriors, Steve Kerr’s very honest opinion on James Wiseman’s future

With certainty it is not known when James Wiseman will be able to return to the field, but probably i Golden State Warriors they will be able to get it back in the first weeks of the regular season. The center, second overall pick in the 2020 Draft, injured his meniscus last season and underwent surgery. In the first few months of the NBA, Wiseman showed a lot of positive things, but in others he was, even normally, very immature. The potential is there and the Warriors are focusing on him, who in the season that is about to begin is called to a qualitative leap.

Steve Kerr he thinks that Wiseman could revive the role of the center, which except for a few champions like Embiid and Jokic has had few prominent performers in recent years. The Warriors coach answered in this way on a specific question:

Yes, because we saw his technical background last year. He showed some flashes of being able to be a player who shoots from three, who penetrates the iron and who carries the ball. Now is the time to put all these things together, but it takes time.

“James Wiseman in his first season in the NBA averaged 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds, shooting 32% three-pointers.
