Imperia. Pala FIJLKAM Lido di Castel Fusano, s Rome, is the National Olympic Center that hosted the first post-pandemic Italian Championships with the wish from all that sports activities can resume without further interruptions. The championship is the one that sees the best Cadet athletes (under 18) from the regional qualification stages carried out throughout Italy. L’Ok Club Imperia represents the city with three excellent agonists, Saglietto Nicola in the category up to 50 kg, Galletta Federico in the 60 kg and Giromini Filippo in the 73 kg.

The competitions begin with Federico qualifying in first place in the region and his first national experience. Federico is a strong and prepared athlete but emotion plays a bad joke on him and he is unable to express himself in a match that saw him compete with a strong Sicilian athlete. At the end of the morning Nicola climbs on the tatami, immediately the determination and commitment leave no room for emotion, concentrated and well prepared Nicola climbs the ranking by disputing five matches all with athletes of the highest caliber. The final classification sees Nicola position himself in seventh place in a very hard-fought category.

In the late afternoon, Filippo’s competition begins in the difficult category at the limit of 73 kg, the Ok Club athlete immediately clashes with a strong Turin judoka who suffers continuous and powerful attacks from Filippo who comes out victorious from the first match. A drop in attention at the second meeting marks the end of the race for Filippo, also at the first national appointment, who brings home an important experience for his future as an athlete.
