This is how Junior has done against the six rivals that are missing in the League

Junior has six finals ahead of him to ensure qualification for the semi-final home runs of the BetPlay II-2021 League. The rojiblanco team, which marches in the fourth box of the championship with 24 points, needs seven units to surpass the 30-point barrier, which has been the limit to obtain the ticket to the ‘end of the year party’.

Those led by Arturo Reyes have three games as local and three outside the ‘Metro’. He will receive Quindío, Pasto and Equidad and will visit Millonarios, Santa Fe and Alianza Petrolera, this last team with which he will close the ‘All against all’ phase of the League.

The first obstacle will be Millonarios, which he visits this Saturday, starting at 8:10 pm, at the El Campín stadium in Bogotá. He will then have two home appearances against Quindío and Deportivo Pasto. It travels again to the height of the capital to face Santa Fe and closes, as we said before, in front of Alianza Petrolera in Barrancabermeja.

How has Junior fared against these teams in the stadiums where he will face them? EL HERALDO takes stock of the last confrontations that the rojiblanco team has had against their next rivals to know the statistical possibilities they have to overcome each obstacle.

Millionaires vs. Junior

The last two visits have not been entirely comfortable for Junior, who has lost both times against Millonarios by a score of 2-0. Despite this, prior to these duels, he had obtained good results, reaping two draws and one victory, this being, in 2017, the last in which the rojiblancos added three in El Campín. The balance of the last five games is two losses, two draws and one win. Hard duel, a lot taking into account the great present that Alberto Gamero’s team is experiencing.

Junior vs. Quindío

Junior accumulates four consecutive games undefeated against Quindío in the ‘Metro’. The last two games have resulted in 1-0 and 3-0 wins, the first, and most recently, for the Colombia Cup, and the second for the League. The last time that Quindío scored in Barranquilla was in 2012, when they got a one-goal draw for the local rented. The last triumph of the team whose break in Curramba occurred in 2010, a victory that closes the cycle of the last five clashes. Junior’s balance is three wins, one draw and one defeat.

Junior vs. Pasto

The last time Junior and Pasto saw each other in the ‘Metro’, the Nariño team hit the table ‘when they beat the rojiblancos 1-0. From there to back, the ‘Jaws’ had enforced the locality, accumulating three wins, all for the League, one of them in the first leg of the remembered final of 2019, when the Barranquilla team obtained the ninth star. In that same 2019, Pasto had drawn a draw in Barranquilla by equaling 0-0. The balance of the last five duels of three rojiblancas victories, a draw and a defeat.

Santa Fe vs. Junior

If the story against Millonarios has not been entirely good in the recent duels they have had in El Campín, against Santa Fe things have been totally different. Junior accumulates two consecutive draws in the last games against the ‘Cardenal’ as a visitor, both this year. Prior to those two duels, the rojiblancos had accumulated a defeat, a draw and a victory. The last time the ‘Tiburon’ added three in the capital, it was in the semifinal of the South American 2018, when they won 2-0.

Junior vs. Equity

If there is a rival that brings good dividends to Junior in Barranquilla, it is Equity. The insurance team has not been able to add in the ‘Metro’ in its last five visits, accumulating five defeats, all for the League. The last duel between the two teams ended with a 2-0 Atletico victory in 2020. Prior to that duel, Tiburon won 1-0, 1-0, 3-1 and 3-0, the latter in 2017. El ‘Tiburon ‘He hopes to get to this game with the qualification in his pocket and if not, he hopes to continue enforcing the home field against a rival who does well in Barranquilla.

Petroleum Alliance vs. Junior

Junior likes the warmth of Barrancabermeja. The last five confrontations of the rojiblanco team against Alianza Petrolera have resulted in a balance of two Barranquilla victories, two draws and a single defeat of ours. The last duel between the two teams in oil territory took place in 2019, with a 0-0 draw. They had previously measured each other in 2018, with a 3-0 Atletico victory. The ‘Shark’ hopes to reach this duel with the classification in his pocket so as not to depend on anything or anyone.
