As announced, in parallel to the celebration of the Day of the Dead in the Huasteca Potosina, the festivity of Xantolo, a series of sporting events such as tournaments, activations, horseback riding and exhibitions will take place.
The “Xantolo Deportivo” will take place in the municipalities of Ébano, Ciudad Valles, Matlapa, Axtla de Terrazas, Xilitla and Tamuín.
The events are organized by the Potosino Sports Institute in coordination with the municipal presidencies.
Yesterday a caravan made up of the director of Inpode, Edmundo Ríos, went to Huasteca Potosina, accompanied by his collaborators, Odin Patiño, deputy director of Sports Development, Alberto Flores Díaz, deputy director of Social Sports, and Arim Solares, the dependency’s basketball coordinator.
The opening ceremony was held at the House of Culture of Ébano, SLP; The director of the Potosino Institute of Physical Culture and Sports Edmundo Ríos Jáuregui, in his inauguration message emphasized that this celebration should be held as a tribute to all the people who left, in addition to the fact that sport will be promoted during these festivities.
Starting yesterday and until Tuesday, November 2, Xantolo Deportivo will have a sports skills and activation circuit in Ébano, a basketball tournament, wrestling exhibition and various events in Ciudad Valles; a first-rate basketball home run and a soccer tournament in Matlapa.
In addition, physical activation, a physicoconstructivism event and a sports meeting in Xilitla; physical activation, sports skills circuit and soccer quadrangular in Axtla de Terrazas and various tournaments in Tamuín, as well as horseback riding through the region accompanied by traditional comparsas
with huehues.
