Quarter-finals in Vienna: Olympic champion Zverev makes the 300 full
Zverev will always remember his first win. Now he already has 300 victories.

Olympic tennis champion Alexander Zverev survived the round of 16 of the ATP tournament in Vienna with some difficulty. The 24-year-old moved into the round of eight in the 1.8 million euro competition in the town hall with a 6: 2, 3: 6, 6: 2 against Australian Alex De Minaur. The Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, number six on the seed list, is waiting there.
For Zverev it was the 300th victory on the ATP tour. “I’m happy to have done this so early in my career, but hopefully there will be a lot more to come. The first win against Robin Haase in Hamburg will definitely stay in my memory, simply because it was the first. Then surely my first success against Roger Federer, the first against a Top10 player – and in Halle in Germany too, “he said.
Zverev had against De Minaur, in Vienna behind French Open finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece) in second place, 1:42 hours hard work to dountil his sixth win in the fifth duel was certain. Only at the ATP Cup 2020 did he lose to number 32 in the world rankings in three sets on hard court. In the first round, Zverev had eliminated the Serb Filip Krajinovic. He has a 3-1 record against Auger-Aliassime.
