The Military World Championship in Brétigny this weekend

The 40th World Military Judo Championship events will take place from October 30 to November 2, 2021 at the Brétigny-sur-Orge Regional Dojo. Two FLAM 91 judokas with Reda Sedouki and Shirine Boukli will be present.

Organized by the National Sports Center of Defense (CNDS) and the departmental judo committee of Essonne, this world championship will bring together more than 300 athletes from 22 different nations. All the competitions and activities will take place at the regional dojo of Brétigny-sur-Orge. This major event will end with a closing ceremony in the Maison Neuve village hall on Wednesday 3 November at 10:30 am.

On the competition side, the events will start on Saturday at 9 a.m. for the elimination and repechage phases concerning the -48 kg, -52 kg, -57 kg, -63 kg for women and -60 kg, -66 kg, -73 kg for the categories. men. The finals will take place from 4 p.m. The next day at 9 a.m., the elimination and repechage phases will begin for -70 kg, -78 kg, +78 kg for women and -81 kg, -90 kg, -100 kg and +100 kg for men. Tuesday November 2 will be reserved for the men’s and women’s team events. Start at 9:30 a.m. with finals from 4 p.m.

Two Essonnian judokas from the Force Longjumeau Alliance Massy 91 (FLAM 91) will participate in this world championship: Reda Sedouki (-66 kg), Shirine Boukli (-48 kg).
