The Judo Kodokan Lodévois leaves in a beautiful dynamic

Despite the constraints, the pleasure of getting together and practicing won out for the children and adults who resumed lessons.

If the Covid got the better of a number of judo clubs in the region, this is obviously – and fortunately – not the case of the JKL. Wilfried Redon, the sparkling and energetic teacher, who also teaches in Clermont-l’Hérault and Saint-Jean-de-Védas, is there and there, faithful to the post.

Present during the association festival on September 4, with a stand on which they followed one another, the volunteers and their president, Olivier Pillet, informed the public and registered the registrations.

Classes began immediately with a week of discovery for some, real recovery for others.

“We felt a real desire to practice, the young people were there, observes from Wilfried. The old ones are coming back, there are some new ones, sometimes from neighboring clubs which have gone out of business for lack of teachers and volunteers. We were impatiently waiting to see what it would be like with the adults. The Covid had put a real stop to our sport. “

Competitions resume

There is the story of the past, of parents who can no longer be present in the room, by the tatami mats. Many constraints, of course, but on arrival, the pleasure of finding the way to the dojo. “And it is true that putting also, and finally, in place the adult courses, always at the Triumph, made us the greatest good. It is morally comforting, because it was not played, after the two preceding seasons so complicated! “

The young collectives responded well to the call, as did a dozen teenagers and adults. “I think that after the October holidays, others will still join us. There are finally people on the mats and for the time being, young people and adults are recovering their physical condition, after being a little soft. by the Covid “, notes, amused, prof.

But we will have to quickly recover: after a year and a half of interruption, the competitions resume. From Sunday November 14, the Lodévois will be in Saint-Jean-de-Védas for interclub meetings. More than ever, the JKL is asserting itself as a major player in the sporting dynamics of Lodévoise and the upper cantons.
