The Diputación de Pontevedra awards the aid to the athletes who attended the Olympic Games

The Pontevedra province is a benchmark in sport, as endorsed by the participation of its athletes in the Tokyo Olympic Games. For them and them, the Provincial Council created this year a line of aid to which a total of 18 athletes among whom the provincial institution distributed 90,000 euros (which means a bag of 5,000 euros for each athlete), which were approved this Friday in the Xunta de Goberno.

Carmela Silva was proud when talking about the representation of the province in the Games and made it clear that the funds go to athletes “whether or not they have achieved a diploma or medal, because we consider that the fact of participating in these games is already a heroism and therefore this scholarship has to reach everyone who participated “.

The athletes to whom the provincial institution granted these bags are Agustín Alejos and María Victoria Viñariño (basketball), María Bernabeu, Francisco Garrigos, Nikoloz Sherazadishvili (judo), Rodrigo corrales (handball), Martin de la Puente (tennis), Támara Echégoyen, Nico Rodríguez (sail), Rodrigo Germade, Antía Jácome, Teresa Portela (canoeing), Gustavo Nieves (Athletics), Susana rodriguez (triathlon and athletics), Gustavo Rodriguez (triathlon and cycling), Chano Rodriguez (swimming), Juan Saavedra (Olympic shooting) and Celso Comesaña, Susana Rodríguez’s guide in triathlon.
