TERRIBLE: Shooting at American football game leaves four injured

The incident occurred in Alabama, on one of the entrance ramps to the stadium where the Vigor and Williamson high schools faced each other.

A dire situation was experienced during a football game in Alaba, United States, when the high schools of Vigor and Williamson faced each other. In the middle of the encounter, several shots were heard. Immediately, the players, fans and cheerleaders threw themselves to the ground trying to protect themselves amid the confusion and chaos.

According to the police report, the shooting occurred on one of the entrance ramps to the stadium, and three men and one woman (two minors among them) were injured and had to be transferred to hospitals in the area.

According to Mobile County Sheriff Paul Prine, one of the victims was in critical condition and in fear for his life after being shot at the Ladd-Peebles sports complex.

In the networks, images of the shooting were shown, but only the disorder is seen and the shots are heard in the background, while the players begin to run across the field to take cover before throwing themselves to the ground. In the stands, people ran and hid as best they could. The match is no longer over.

“The shots were fired on the west ramp,” Prine said, where four casings were found, but it was suspected that there were seven shots in total. According to early versions of the police, “we have several individuals who may be involved, but possibly only one shooter.”

“It’s sad because our communities will suffer after something like this,” Melvin Pete, Williamson’s coach told the Ai site. While John McKenzie, from Vigor, commented that “these things happen and what can you do? We have to be an example and change the lives of these children ”.

Police had information that at least two people fled the scene in a white vehicle, but there was no further information as of yet, and no arrests have been recorded.
