A full-blown fairy tale. This is what Stefano Colombo (in the photo) is experiencing, the 201 cm pivot-winger of Reggiana Basketball who made his Serie A debut against Varese, at the age of 26.
A wonderful satisfaction, experienced among other things in front of their family members who were present in the stands of the ‘Enerexenia Arena’.
Arrived in the summer as a ‘token’ to increase the level of intensity during the training sessions of the Castelnovo Monti retreat, manager Stefano Colombo managed to carve out space and credibility within the roster and gradually conquered everyone.
The club thus made him sign his first professional contract last September, while on Sunday – honestly a bit surprising – he also made his debut in the top flight.
Two minutes on the pitch with the game on ice for some time, but that the boy born in Magenta on April 25, 1995 earned with the sweat of his brow and after so much apprenticeship.
A flash that one day he will be able to tell his grandchildren. His career has in fact developed between Oleggio, Sangiorgese and finally Ancona, where last year (in Serie B) he scored 4.9 points and collected 3.5 rebounds on average.
