Soyapango at full speed in the baseball youth

He swept his series against Santa Ana by defeating them in both Youth A (13-14 years) and Youth AA (15-17), while Agabeisi also won in Youth A, in tournaments organized by the Salvadoran Baseball Federation

Carlos Hernández, FEDEBEIS Press.- The Novenas from Soyapango beat their peers from Santa Ana in their respective matches of the Youth A (13-14 years) and Youth AA (15-17 years) categories, in the final of the regular round of the national tournaments organized by the Salvadoran Baseball Federation.

The boys from Soyapango won 4 races by 3 in the UTEC Technological University Cup of Juvenil AA (15-17) and 12 by 0 in the Copa Hospital Policlínica Casa de Salud of Juvenil A (13-14 years). In this last category Agabeisi won 21 by 7 to Bengoa-Zacamil.

After Saturday, the AA Youth tournament table (15-17 years old) is led by Agabeisi (7-1), followed by Soyapango (5-2), Bengoa-Zacamil (4-5) and Santa Ana (0-8 ). Meanwhile, in Youth A (13-14 years) Agabeisi (6-2) and Soyapango (6-2) share the top, escorted by Bengoa-Zacamil (4-4) and Santa Ana (0-8). During the week the calendar will be completed with games that were pending, so that the semifinals will start next Saturday.

Closed game

At the Saturnino Bengoa Park, the Soyapango team came back from a three-race deficit to end up beating Santa Ana 4 by 3, in the 15-17 year-old category. Josué Urbina and Brandon Portillo linked a pair of indisputable each to command the attack of Don Bosco’s boys. Ever Cortez scored the victory in relief work, while César Mendoza took the loss.

Meanwhile, in the 13-14 year-old category, Soyapango completed the sweep by winning a 12-0 shutout against the Santanecos, but in the Mini Stadium of Zacamil. Joshua González was the winning pitcher, while Miguel Díaz was the defeated one.

In the other Juvenil A match, Agabeisi’s ninth unleashed an offense of 22 hits to beat the Bengoa-Zacamil team, who played as a home team at the Agabeisi Complex, 21 points by 7. Samuel Avilés got the award from the mound, while Andrés González took the reverse.
