Sinner’s spectacular indoor stats

At the ATP 500 in Vienna, Jannik Sinner (11th) looks intractable and has streaks worthy of admiration. This time, the victim was Dennis Novak (116th), who could do little against the aggressive and accurate tennis of the Italian. With this recent triumph, the 20-year-old claimed his 10th consecutive victory on indoor hard courts.

Four ATP titles, the best ranking of his career, a place assured for the Next Gen Finals and in the permanent fight for a place in Turin. This is how amazing Jannik Sinner’s season is, born in San Candido in 2001. With tennis on the rise and increasingly dangerous, the Italian is consolidating step by step and, in recent weeks, has become an indoor specialist.

It is that with his pass to the quarterfinals in Vienna, he managed to string together ten games in a row in that modality, all of them without giving up a single part. Consequently, there are 20 sets won uninterruptedly by the European star who, in addition, between Antwerp and Vienna, maintains a streak of six matches in a row.

The present laughs at him and the future seems to belong to him. His enormous goal, now, is to enter the Masters Tournament to be held in Turin in November. And precisely, in the next round of the Austrian tournament, you will have a golden opportunity to get closer to that goal. He will be measured with nothing less than Casper Ruud (he beat Lorenzo Sonego), one of his great adversaries in that fight.

If victorious, Sinner will finish the week in eighth place in the race to Turin. They faced each other only once, in this same contest (2020), and it was the Italian who was left with the commitment 7-6 and 6-3.
