Tennis star Serena Williams (40) is crying.
In an Instagram video, the American becomes very emotional, wiping tears from the corners of her eyes. The message “Never give up” is written on her T-shirt.
What touched Williams so much?
In the video, the tennis queen advertises cancer aid, a topic that affects her. Former number 1 in the world talks about a close friend who worked as a physical therapist to take care of Serena’s health: Dr. Esther Lee. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Serena explains in a tear-choked voice: “Now she needs our help!”
To support her friend and to show that she is fighting with her, Williams will take part in the so-called “LA Cancer Challenge 5k Walk / Run” on October 31st.
