Sanjuanense in the national – El Sol de San Juan del Río

Juan Carlos Sabino Álvarez is a benchmark in basketball in San Juan del Río who as coordinator and programmer of the referees of the San Juan del Rio Basketball Referees Association (CABSJR) has made the sport grow.

With professionalism, Carlos Sabino was summoned to impart the regulations in the Dunk Cup in Aguascalientes, one of the competitions with the highest level of basketball at the national level in which the best clubs from both high schools and universities meet.

“It is a competition that takes place twice a year and in order to participate and be summoned to be judges of this event by the teacher Ma. Elma Cruz National director of CONAJUD (National College of Sports Judges) and coordinator of the training of Referees of the Student Basketball Association (ABE), the largest and most important league in the country, invites and summons all those who have an outstanding participation in its clinics, trainings, updates on refereeing and its rules ”, he explained Juan Carlos.

The aspirations in Dunk Cup are ambitious as it is a platform to reach the professional leagues.

“This competition is very important to me because thanks to this type of sports fair many coordinators and organizers of basketball events, competition leagues in different regions and refereeing associations can take you into account to reach professional leagues in the country,” he explained.

This is how the representative of CABSJR appears bringing the name of San Juan del Río to the national scene as it has done in previous editions in Copa Independencia (where the champions of the CIMABAQ Maximum Circuit of Basketball Queretano participate), present in the Semifinals of the tournament CIMABAQ, in the ABE League – DIVISION 1 and 2 in different university venues in the country. As well as in the Veritas International Tournament in Guanajuato, Semifinals of the CIGUBA (Guanajuatense Basketball Circuit) in Celaya, Irapuato and León.
