SAN TELMO 2 – ALMAGRO 1

In the afternoon where the fans returned to the stadiums after almost 19 months, San Telmo celebrated with its people in the stands, defeating Almagro 2 to 1 at home in a match corresponding to the 28th date of the First National Championship. The winner’s goals were scored by Ezequiel Filipetto and Javier Velázquez, with Nicolás Servetto temporarily tied.

The match had a shaky start, both teams were looking for the opposite goal, the visit took the initiative and with the good work of Santiago Rodríguez and Nicolás Servetto they sought to generate risk on the fence defended by Alan González.

After a minute Brian Machuca warned with a shot that was covered by the candombero goalkeeper who after a quarter of an hour covered a shot from Jerez Silva. At 24 minutes came the most dangerous play of the tricolor with a shot from Nicolás Servetto, the ball hit the base of the left post.

The homeowner responded with a right hand from Rueda, so that Horacio Ramírez sent the ball to the corner. With a stopped ball he took the lead in the 37th minute thanks to a free kick taken by Sebastián Riquelme. The ball fell in the form of a center so that Ezequiel Filipetto entered from the right and with a shot put the 1-0.

At a disadvantage, those of José Ingenieros went out to look for the discount, this only arrived in the first minute of the complement when the head of Nicolás Servetto appeared from a center to put the 1 to 1.

Then Servetto had another chance, but his shot went wide.
At 19 minutes, Javier Velázquez, in a great personal move where he combined his physical power and scoring instinct, got the defender off his back and with a half turn sent the ball to the back of the net and put the host back up on the scoreboard .

Again those led by Walter Perazzo went up the slope, but collided again and again with a well-planted local background, about 40 minutes he had two unbeatable chances to strike, Santiago Rodríguez made a cross for a teammate of his to push the ball, but Filipetto appeared to clear the danger on the line, the rebound was taken by Rodríguez himself who now shot at goal, the ball hit the outside of the post.

San Telmo won, adding the second victory in a row, on the next day he will visit Güemes de Santiago del Estero, on Friday, October 8 at 17:10, for his part Almagro, who suffered the second defeat in a row, will receive Defensores from Belgrano on Saturday, October 9 at 4:00 p.m.
