Salvador and three more Venezuelans, finalists at the silver bat

On Monday afternoon Major League Baseball announced the finalists for the silver bat in both leagues. Among all the names are those of four Venezuelans. Among them Salvador Perez, José Altuve, Germán Márquez and Omar Narváez.

Salvador Pérez to be confirmed as the best offensive receiver

Salvador finished as the leader in home runs with 48 and co-leader in RBIs with 121. He also led the masks of the new circuit in doubles (24), runs scored (88) and was sixth in OPS (.859).

More power was worth the mention to Altuve

José Altuve, obtained a new nomination thanks to his power with the tree. Well, in 668 plate appearances he hit 31 home runs, being one of only four waiters in the American League with a triple-ten in this department.

Germán among the most shoveling pitchers in the National

Among the pitchers in the National League, Germán Márquez hit .264 (second best with more than 50 appearances) and concentrated the best OPS (.679) over Max Fried (.649).

Omar Narváez around the best receivers

Omar Narváez was able to appear alongside Buster Porey, Will Smith and JT Realmuto among the receivers nominated for the Silver Bat on the Old Circuit.

In 445 appearances he hit 11 home runs; only 11 of the National’s masks connected 10 or more, and also finished among six catchers (with a minimum of 100 games) in the National with an OPS greater than .740.
