The tennis men at TC Rungg have had a tailor-made start in the A1 series. The women in Rome could also take something countable with them.

This Sunday was something special from the point of view of TC Rungg. It was the first matchday in Serie A1. In the end there is a victory for the men and a draw for the women.

Horst Rieder & Co. met Selva Alta from Vigevano (Province of Pavia) at home and, under the leadership of coach Valerio and Manuel Gasbarri, were able to achieve a 4-2 victory. In the match of the day, Federico Gaio, the number 1 of the Rungger, won in two sets against Filippo Baldi.

Women score points in Rome

The Rungger women’s team, which is coached by Daniele Ceraudo, scored a point on the prestigious place in Parioli. Verena Meliss was able to win her single game against Beatrice Lombardo on the difficult terrain in Rome. In addition, Meliss and Susan Bandecchi won a double duel. In the end it was a 2-2 draw.
