They were very successful throughout the season. In the afternoon, the RTV judo team made the ascent perfect. In the end it was 6-1 against JC Gelsenkirchen and 5-2 against Bayer 04 Leverkusen. In front of 600 spectators in the Neuenkamp sports hall, the joy then knew no bounds.
Manager Cedric Pick: “The march through to the first Bundesliga was our goal and we have now achieved it. We achieved this success with athletes, 80% of whom come from the Bergisches Land. That speaks for this region, which is crazy about judo. My thoughts are now on the one hand with the planning for 2022, on the other hand with our second team, which starts in the national league in November and is just as important for our entire project. “
