Rincón de la Victoria registers 1,700 registrations at the beginning of the municipal sports schools course

Free tuition, the increase in disciplines and the situation of a new normal have contributed significantly to the increase in the rate of physical activity

The Public Agency of Local Administration (APAL) Sports of the Rincón de la Victoria City Council announced last September the free registration of all Municipal Sports Schools for the 2021/2022 season. A pioneering initiative in the municipality that has contributed to the increase in the rate of physical and sports activity among the child and adult population. «We have started the course with a thousand infant students and 700 adults enrolled.

Last year we ended with lower figures. Currently we continue to register users occupying free places among the wide variety of sports disciplines that we offer, “says the Councilor for Sports, Antonio José Martín (PP). The mayor has advanced that “we could even double the number of registrations in the coming weeks compared to last year.”

The mayor of Rincón de la Victoria, Francisco Salado (PP), highlighted “the investment and commitment of the government team so that the municipality continues to grow as a sports city. We continue working in a city where the practice of sport is already common, where the orography invites any sport. We are dedicated to clubs, associations, as well as to improving infrastructures and facilities ”.

“The proposal to discount the payment of tuition is one more initiative for the support and promotion of sports practice for all our neighbors,” adds the councilor. “And for the second consecutive year the sports schools are also exempt from paying the corresponding fee,” he adds. In addition, the Councilor for Sports has reported the existence of free places for the different sports schools, with the exception of football 7, basketball, triathlon, athletics, taekwondo, yoga activities that are already full.

“This year around thirty different sports disciplines have been offered for all ages, incorporating Tai Chi, Skate, Surf, Rugby and Judo classes,” says Martín. The activities for adults are: spinning, body sculpt, fit-training, aerostep, zumba, kick boxing, skating, body building, Pilates, yoga, table tennis, paddle tennis, tennis, badminton, gymnastics for the elderly, taichi and skate, surf and rugby.

Children’s and junior activities from the age of 3 are: yawara jitsu, karate, taekwondo, chess, basketball, paddle tennis, skating, soccer and futsal, table tennis, volleyball, triathlon, athletics, showdance, acrobatic fit-kid and cheerleaders, handball, hockey, sports dances, urban dance, rhythmic gymnastics, hip hop, children’s / youth Zumba dance, surfing, skateboarding, rugby and judo.
