Portuguese Ricardo Gouveia, already a double winner this season, takes the lead in the Challenge Costa Brava with a score of -10 after 36 holes. The just thirty-something had finished his first round strong Wednesday morning to sign a card of 65, before continuing the afternoon with the best card of the second round (67). He is two strokes ahead of Frédéric Lacroix, while the leader of the first day had to stop his second round after a birdie at hole number 12. Gouveia is the only player in the top 4 to have completed his 36 holes.

Johannessen inquires, Brun continues
Behind Gouveia and Lacroix, the American Chase Hanna and the Norwegian Kristian Krogh Johannessen complete the podium at -7. The Scandinavian slammed a hole-in-one at 3 (his twelfth hole of the day) to join Hanna in third place. Italian Matteo Manassero is fifth at -6.

It is still too early to learn all the lessons from these first two laps since not everyone has finished their second lap and the cut has not yet been defined. But only four Blues were above the provisional cut line at the time of the interruption due to nightfall. Ugo Coussaud for his part, gave up after 27 holes.
