“Relaxation & Leisure” and “Damaz’Arts” will share the Marthe-Pons room

A room occupancy convention, which has not yet been established, has been drawn up for these associations, specifying the conditions and rules to be respected, as well as the days and times of activities.

Several agreements have already been signed, in particular for the occupation of the multipurpose hall with voluntary gymnastics, taï-chi-chuan and archers, of the Gilbert-Cabarré hall for judo, as well as for all municipal halls or places. with the associations that use them. This Saturday, the president of “Détente & Loisirs”, Pierrette Laujol, was invited to come and sign the agreement for the occupation of the Marthe-Pons room, available to the club for many years, shared for some time with the ‘Confluent music school.

“The world of associations is essential”

From now on, it is “Damaz’Arts”, recently created, which will ensure the colocation. The two clubs have an artistic creative affinity which is complementary. Its president Roger-André Joachim was also invited. After reading the conventions by Stéphane Moléna, each president signed his convention, in the presence of the mayor Michel Masset and his assistant Françoise Dubourg. “Détente & Loisirs” has resumed its creative activities on Friday afternoons since September. “Damaz’arts” should start shortly, the days are not yet defined. The mayor admits “very satisfied that people can once again share their passions, of course respecting the necessary distances and rules”. And to add: “The world of associations is essential for the territory. In ten years, 20% of the Damazan population has changed, it is necessary to allow the inhabitants to be able to meet, to organize exchanges with the children, the elderly. We must encourage the pooling of rooms and everyone’s experiences “. The creation of a new festival committee is underway.
