Puvill and Gabdullin win the U16 RPT – MARCA at the Emilio Snchez Academy

Las new tracks from Open de Australia on the Emilio Snchez Academy of Barcelona were used in the twenty-first test of the XXVI National Circuit RPT – MARCA Jvenes Promesas U16 by Wilson – Tennis Point, with the collaboration of the Catalan Tennis Federation and of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation, and in which 130 players from all over Spain participated.

In the women’s final, Martina Puvill, seeded number 6, was imposed on Martina Genis, fifth seeded, by 7/5, 3/6 and 6/3. In the male category, Samat Gabdullin, second favorite, beat Georgi in the final Deyanov, third, by 6/3 and 6/4. The tournament featured the Referees Judges Mike del cerro and Sergio Troncoso.

During the tournament we had a visit from Jordi Tamayo, President of the Catalan Tennis Federation and First Vice President of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation, supporting the tournament and showing the commitment of both institutions for the development of the Youth Tennis Catalan and Spanish. Also, Jordi Tamayo visited us during the ICI Tennis Course for Coaches, attending a meal with Emilio Sanchez Vicario and Luis Mediero.

Coinciding with the finals of ATP Challenger and the previous phase of the tournament Young Promises, the International Coaches Institute conducted the CCC Level 1: Competitive Coaching Course for Coaches, led by Emilio Snchez Vicario, Luis Mediero and the Technical Team of the Emilio Sánchez Academy, among which were Stefan Ortega, Pep burst, Sergi Bonillo, Nacho Quixano, Joshua Colomar, Shell Prez and Xavi Font. This course, in which 25 coaches from 12 Autonomous Communities participated, has the official recognition and educational credits of the United States Professional Tennis Association – USPTA, yel International Registry of Tennis Professionals – RPT, and with the support of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation – RFET and the Catalan Tennis Federation – FCT.

Within the ICI Tennis Coaches Course, all the coaches enjoyed the analysis and preparation of rackets offered by the training consultant. Tennis Point Frank Messerer, who was accompanied by Oliver Seidenberg, Miquel Just, Emilio Snchez Vicar and Luis Mediero.

Also during the week, Luis Mediero, Founder of the Professional Tennis Registry gave the RPT Full Course, which had the participation of tennis coaches from Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, Aragn and Asturias.

The Professional Tennis Registry, the oldest and largest promoter of Youth Tennis in Spain, organizes the Circuito Nacional RPT – MARCA by Wilson – Tennis Point, to count during the year 2021 with 45 tests, with the support of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation, and the collaboration of sponsors such as HdI, NH hotels, NutriSport and IBP Uniuso, with a participation of 3,500 players in the tests held to date.
