For almost two years now, children’s and youth sports in Latvia have been subject to various restrictions. It faces both interest education and professional orientation. During the discussion of the show “Piespēle”, the director Mārtiņš Kļavenieks invited a number of sports professionals to express their opinion. Anda Mičule, Deputy Director of the Sports Department of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES), Sandra Rozenštoka, Sports Doctor and Head of the Sports Laboratory, Laura Skujiņa, Freestyle Wrestling Coach, Viesturs Koziols, Secretary General of the Latvian Hockey Federation (LHF), Latvian Basketball Union (LBS) head of the commission and coach Agris Galvanovskis, founder and head of the football school “Metta” Ģirts Mihelsons, as well as the head of the “Play-off Arena” football hall, football coach Ilvars Koscinkevičs.
