The Dallas Morning News reports that Porziņģis, Lukas Dončičs and Tim Harvardy junior will be given a rest in the upcoming match with the Milwaukee Bucks team on Friday.
Porziņģis participated in all three previous “Mavericks” test games, helping the team to win. Liepājnieks spent an average of 19 minutes on the field, scoring an average of 13.0 points, winning 6.0 rebounds, blocking 1.7 shots and giving 3.0 assists.
The Mavericks will begin their regular championship just a week later when they visit the Atlanta Hawks on October 21st.
This season, Jason Kids became the head coach of the Mavericks, replacing Rick Carlisle. The team also underwent changes in administration, with Niko Harrison taking over as general manager.
The Dallas team has not overcome the first round of play-offs in the last ten years.
