The Mauricie Regional Leisure and Sports Unit (URLSM) awarded the 2021 Dollard-Morin Leisure and Sports Volunteer Award – Regional Component – to Pascal Boislard. Involved for more than a decade in regional minor baseball, he does not count the hours he invests in the development of Académie les Aigles, a non-profit organization (NPO) dedicated to learning baseball. since 2016.

Over the past year, he has been able to reinvent his organization’s offer by developing private or dyad lessons in accordance with Public Health directives and by offering distance training via the Zoom platform. Wanting to get closer to the community, he proposed to his board of directors the purchase of a trailer dedicated to the discovery of baseball, allowing his organization to go to the fields to discover baseball and the importance of moving. and to be active with young people. It also uses technological means to benefit the development of the skills of young athletes and develops new services that meet the needs of users.

In addition to his involvement in baseball, Pascal Boislard is involved in his community by being one of the ambassadors of the Moisson Mauricie campaign “Trois-Rivières, united during the pandemic”. His various actions make him a committed, innovative and pro-active citizen.

To underline her volunteer commitment, a painting by artist Patricia Kramer was presented to her in front of her peers during the Baseball Mauricie End of Season Event.

For her commitment to the Trois-Rivières sports community, the URLSM also awarded the 2021 Volunteer Award – Volet Relève Jean-Marc Paradis – to Valérie Dallaire.

Coming from a committed family, Ms. Dallaire was involved from a young age in minor hockey and ball game. Quickly, she will take the responsibility of scorer, the hidden official, essential to the holding of matches. Dedicated, professional and leader, she will be recruited to the board of directors of the Trois-Rivières minor hockey association as scorers manager.
