KOMPAS.com – The Indonesian men’s singles badminton player, Tommy Sugiarto, advanced to the semifinals or the big 4 of the Denmark Open 2021.
Tommy Sugiarto faced India’s representative, Sameer Verma, in the quarter-finals which took place at Odense Sports Park, Friday (10/22/2021) night WIB.
Tommy managed to win the first game with a score of 21-17 in 25 minutes, before the opponent decided retired or back off and not continue the second game.

As a result, Tommy advances to the semifinals and will face the winner between Jonatan Christie and Kento Momota (Japan).
The match between Jonathan and Momota will only take place after the match Lee Cheuk Yiu (Hong Kong) vs Chou Tien Chen (Taiwan).
Apart from Tommy, the Indonesian representative who has advanced to the semifinals is the mixed doubles pair Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti.
