Now it’s the Rapid-Kickers’ fault [Momentum am Montag]

Thomas Rotter scored for that TSV Hartberg against the SK Rapid in the 97th minute the 1: 1 – ours Momentum on Monday.

Since the 11th minute the SK Rapid Wien against the TSV Hartberg Had led 1-0 that the game had been given out of hand, the coach did not think it was dramatic. Logical if you lead. Stupid: In the 97th minute (!) The doorbell rang on the other side – 1: 1. The ups and downs of the Hütteldorfer continue, they still hold against only three wins this season, the victory in the Europa League during the week Dinamo Zagreb could not be confirmed in the form of three points, before and after that there was a 1: 1 against Klagenfurt and Hartberg. The tenth-placed Rapidler are only one point behind the top six, they are not allowed to play long, even if the league is known to be very tight. Even the next Bundesliga opponent LASK is the last to have only four points less than the sixth, currently TSV. Much more interesting, however, is: who’s out? Dietmar Kühbauers point of view again To blame for the draw?

It’s always the other’s fault …

The reasons for the rough start to the season for Kühbauer were already optional in September Luck or double burden and were to blame too all other. He repeated that again after the 1-1 draw: “The guys are not mentally up to scratch at the moment.” He saw the first half well, then “we” gave up the game and of course the equalizer is paid late, as happens when “we” fail to score the second and third goals. Of course, the kickers have to score the goals, but it is commonly assumed that the man on the sidelines should also have some influence. But Kühbauer does not face this.

Fitness or mentality or both?

Shortly after the break, that’s the rapid time. Six of the 17 goals of the season come in the quarter of an hour after the restart, the green-whites together with Sturm and Klagenfurt score the most goals in this time segment, in first half they are in the middle of the table. And towards the end? Two goals were scored in the Rapid quarter of an hour and one in stoppage time. For comparison: opponents Hartberg scored seven goals, industry pros Salzburg scored twelve (!). Is there a lack of fitness or mentality – or maybe other coaching teams simply give their own team even more external impulses towards the end of the game?

The time of excuses has to stop

Kühbauer would be well advised to leave the excuses on the players. It may be that players against Dinamo are more motivated at home than in Hartberg, but the coaching team would also be challenged there. How to turn it around: Kühbauer is primarily responsible for what the eleven men create on the lawn. It may still work out, the gap to the master playoff is still small.

If the Rapid trainer suspects that he has to put on the same record over and over again due to his performance, then he should change it – or he will have been the Hütteldorfer chief DJ at some point.
