In the semifinals it was over for twelve-year-olds from Neustadt. She is being angry. And now demands a third Olympic gold medalist for a duel.

Neustadt a.d. Do.The fall into the moat could no longer be prevented. The hands slipped off the steps, Jolina Reinhold slipped and thus out of the semifinals of the RTL show “Ninja Warrior Kids”. “I’m angry. That was an obstacle that I practice at home almost every day, ”says the twelve-year-old from Irnsing. She didn’t lose the fun. She wants to start again next year – she declares war on an Abensberg Olympic third party.
#Before it went to the semi-finals, to the 20 “Ninja Kids” #were qualified from the preliminary round#Jolina worried about an obstacle. There a ring rolled down parallel to the dumbbells on the rods, which you had to grasp in order to swing from hook to hook with it. “I was afraid that I would take too much momentum and fall off the hook.” But she came through confidently.
#She relies too much on speed
#“After that I made the mistake of only thinking of speed, speed,” says the student. Ten of the 20 candidates were allowed into the final, “maybe the time will be decisive”, my Jolina. A little too impetuously “she forgot to concentrate on breathing”, says her mother Juliane Reinhold. At the bottom of a staircase, you had to dumbbell yourself up board by board. And there she left her finger strength in the lurch, Jolina fell into the basin.
#The anger at first was understandable. “We have an open stairwell at home, where I lift myself up almost every day. And then I fall down with something like that, “complained the girl. “She learned in judo that everything doesn’t always work out. That’s why she’ll soon have digested it, ”says mom. And of course Jolina was able to laugh again quickly. “We are very proud of her,” says Papa Michael Reinhold.
#Together with parents, brother Tim (3) and grandparents, Jolina watched the semi-finals on Sunday morning (October 24th) on RTL. The show was recorded in the summer. The family was a little disappointed by the short notice rescheduling of the broadcast date. Actually announced for the evening before, the broadcast slipped into the morning – due to low ratings, according to the private broadcaster. The preliminary round was shown in the evening, which gave the Reinholds a “Ninja Warrior” party with friends and neighbors.
#During the recording in Cologne, some of the comrades-in-arms became Jolina’s friends. Although they were competitors at first. “Some previously trained in ninja halls. I couldnt do that. I prepared myself in the judo hall, in the gym or at home, ”says the twelve-year-old. In the show on Sunday, a short film was shown in which she struggled along the spotlight scaffolding in the Stanglmeier hall. TSV Abensberg also moved into the picture.
#Participation was “a huge experience,” says Jolina. The recordings were precisely timed. “Every day there was a corona test for children and parents, then the kids waited in groups of ten behind the scenes. It was only when it was the turn of the group with Jolina that we were also allowed into the hall ”, describes Michael Reinhold, who also addresses the“ huge pressure ”. “The children know that hundreds of thousands of people will see the show.”
#Jolina confesses, “that I was more nervous than ever, not even during decisive judo fights”. Despite TV spotlights, she doesn’t want to hear anything from the child star. “She is much too shy and reserved for that. Nothing goes to your head, ”say the parents.
#But the “Ninja Warrior” fever grabbed the girl. “I want to go back next year.” In addition, she has a bet with Abensberg’s Olympic third-placed Sebastian Seidl: He should apply to the adults for the “Ninja Warrior” relay. “And then let’s see who gets further.”
