Mexico City /

The popular American brand Nike, which is characterized by making various garments, has decided to honor one of the festivities of Mexico in two pairs of tennis. Through its official website the collection “Day of the Dead, Always Family” was released, in honor of the festival that takes place on November 1 and 2.

To commemorate the celebration, Nike decided to put on sale a limited edition line in collaboration with Mexican artists such as Teotecpatl, Dalia Xiuhcoatl, José Rivas, Oved, Bárbara Sánchez, Kane, Santiago X, Citlali Fabián.

The collection includes two pairs of tennis shoes: the Air Jordan 1 Mid and Nike Air Force 1, in a retro version. The footwear had a cost of 3 thousand 99 pesos and 2 thousand 700 pesos, respectively; without embargo, hours after its launch they were sold out.

The first model features a shiny print, with the ‘swoosh’ embroidered. Completely black with orange accents, the Jordan 1 Mid maintains its classic style.

For their part, Air Force 1 has leather details, which simulate frets from ancient Mexico and hints of suede to emulate obsidian. On the heel it has the message “Always Family”, which is the name of the collection. Nike’s famous ‘popcorn’ comes in bright colors.

In addition to footwear, the collection includes a bomber jacket and closed sweatshirts. All other clothing items can be found in the official Nike online store.
