NFL: Roger Goodell made nearly US $ 128 million in past two years

National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell has pocketed nearly US $ 128 million in the past two fiscal years, reports The New York Times Friday.

This information was leaked during an owners meeting held this week in New York City.

Citing anonymous sources who attended the meeting, 90 percent of Goodell’s compensation was made up of bonuses obtained by entering into a new collective agreement and securing significant media rights.

In March 2020, NFL players approved the tentative agreement that ensured union peace until 2030 and the implementation of a 17-game regular-season schedule.

In March 2021, the NFL struck deals worth more than $ 100 billion with ESPN/ABC, Fox, CBS, NBC, Amazon and NFL Network for the broadcast of the meetings until 2033.
