NFL Pool: special running backs

football/nfl/story">

It is very difficult, if not impossible, to be successful over a long period of time without having one or two successful running backs in your lineup.

With the weeks off and injuries, many poolers have no choice but to turn to waivers to hope to line up the victories soon. With that in mind, here are five running backs to target.

Darrel Williams – Kansas City Chiefs (Available in 26% of Yahoo! leagues)

With Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s injury, Darrel Williams will be in the No. 1 position for a little while. He could pay a lot of money as he plays in one of the NFL’s most dangerous attacks.

The Chiefs are looking to return to victory and Williams could be very involved in their game plan against the Washington football team this Sunday.

AJ Dillon – Green Bay Packers (Available in 31% of Yahoo! leagues)

AJ Dillon is clearly number 2 behind Aaron Jones in the Packers, but he is used for aerial games at important times. Last week, he caught all four passes sent in his direction for 49 yards and a touchdown.

It’s never fun to talk about injury, but if anything bad happens to Jones, Dillon will be a prime target. Why not get ahead?

Devontae Booker – New York Giants (Available in 37% of Yahoo! leagues)

As in the case of Williams, Devontae Booker benefits from an injury in one of his team-mates to gain more playing time. Indeed, Saquon Barkley is back on the sidelines and will not play on Sunday.

Just by the number of races he will get as a starter, Booker deserves to be considered a good option for a pooler looking for a running back.

Sony Michel – Los Angeles Rams (Available in 50% of Yahoo! leagues)

Sony Michel showed he could do the job when Darrell Henderson fell in battle.

Considering the history of the number 1 of the Rams, it is a safe bet that the former “Pats” will have the opportunity to show those who have it in their training by the end of the season.

Rhamondre Stevenson – New England Patriots (Available in 91% of Yahoo! leagues)

With the Patriots, running back Damien Harris is in bad shape. He also dropped a ball in the red zone last week, which did not please Bill Belichick.

We bet that the young Rhamondre Stevenson will get the chance to show off in the eyes of the uncompromising head coach, while his club will take on the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday.
