Baseball: Atlanta Braves second finalist
The Atlanta Braves have returned to the Major League Baseball World Series for the first time since 1999. They won the sixth game against the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-2 and eliminated the defending champions with 4-2 wins. Man of the game for the Braves was Eddie Rosario, whose home run brought three points in the fourth inning, giving the Braves a 4-1 lead. As winners of the National League, the Braves will meet the Houston Astros, the winners of the American League, in a best-of-7 series from Tuesday. The first game takes place in Texas.
Basketball: Capela and the Hawks lose
Clint Capela and the Atlanta Hawks suffered their first defeat in the NBA in their second game of the season. They lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers away 95: 101. After the Hawks had narrowly led at halftime, the preliminary decision was made in the third quarter when the Cavaliers scored 21 points in a row and took the lead with 67:58. Capela achieved 10 points and 14 rebounds in a good 27 minutes, 7 of them on the offensive. The best scorer of the game was Atlanta’s Trae Young with 24 points.
