New headquarters of the Colombian Football Federation in Barranquilla: official inauguration | Colombia selection

This Wednesday the new headquarters of the Colombian Football Federation (FCF) in Barranquilla was inaugurated. The complex was invited by the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, the president of Conmebol, Alejandro Domínguez, and of course the president of the Federation, Ramón Jesurún.

In the afternoon the leaders arrived in the capital of the Atlantic. Both were received with ‘papayera’, thus living a party scene in the new headquarters. Later they toured the new facilities together with Jesurún, who was guiding them around the place.

The Federation explained everything related to the headquarters that they named “Casa de las Selecciones Colombia in Barranquilla”:

“It has 3 soccer fields (2 of natural grass and one synthetic), 3 dressing rooms, a gym equipped with the latest technology machinery, teqball and soccer tennis courts, wet areas with hydromassage tubs for cryotherapy and heat sessions, a pool designed for recovery, medical recovery areas, games and entertainment area, offices, auditorium for events and press conferences. A place with the highest quality standards to achieve the best preparation of our Colombian Selections ”.

Likewise, special emphasis was placed on the support received from “the FIFA Forward and CONMEBOL Evolución programs” so that the scenario became a reality.

It is expected then that the headquarters located in the ‘Alameda del Río’ will host the concentrations and preparations of all the Colombian teams, male and female branch from the Senior category to the youth category.

In dialogue with Blu Radio, Mayor Jaime Pumarejo assured that the idea of ​​the headquarters “arose many years ago”, today it is a reality and “it has nothing to envy to any headquarters in the world”.
