NBA game witnesses absurd scenes as fans put bugs on themselves

The New York Knicks and New Orleans Pelicans have seasons at odds. On the one hand, the Knicks lead the Eastern Conference with a 5-1 record so far. The Pelicans, meanwhile, are at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 1-6 record. And it was quite expected when the Knicks beat the Pelicans 123-117 tonight. However, sad as it was, the NBA halftime spectacle during the game was far more interesting and crazy.

NBA halftime shows are always a mix of a lot of things. Pop stars like Drake, Rihanna, J. Cole and Mariah Carey have wild challenges that keep us entertained as we await the resumption of the third quarter of a game. Often times, these tend to get a lot more intriguing than the game itself. This is exactly what happened in the New York Knicks vs New Orleans Pelicans game.

So, at halftime, three fans were disputed to reach out. In doing so, the cockroaches were placed one by one on their palms and allowed to move for 15 seconds. In fact, they were also placed on their necks and shoulders.

While the first contestant was as cool as a cucumber, the next two looked pretty nervous. Well, who wouldn’t? Fortunately, all took up the challenge successfully.

A few more crazy half-time shows

There’s nothing the league isn’t trying to keep the fans busy and entertained during the insanely long half-time. We saw dog shows, balance acts, basketball tricks, circus tricks, magic, gymnastics, etc.

However, some notable names are Amazing Sladek, the Red Panda, Christian and Scooby and Steve Max. These are just a few of them that have been successful in bringing out the best acts for audiences.

It only makes us realize that the NBA is much more than just a game. The league is investing a lot to keep fans intrigued and what better way than to keep those halftime shows as crazy as cockroaches crawling all over their bodies. people, right?
