Nash finished tenth in the second race of the Cyclocross World Cup in the USA

Kateřina Nash finished tenth in the second part of the Cyclocross World Cup in Fayeteville. The 43-year-old Czech cyclist thus significantly improved the 20th place from Sunday’s opening race in Waterloo. The world champion Lucinda Brandová from the Netherlands won on the muddy track.

Nash, who lives in the United States, is the only representative of Czech cyclocross in the overseas trilogy at the beginning of the SP. After the race in Waterloo and today’s stop in Arkansas, the cyclocross elite will perform in Iowa City on Sunday before returning to Europe.

After finishing second in Waterloo, Brand finished nine seconds ahead of compatriot Denise Betsema. The winner of the opening race, Marianne Vosová, finished fourth this time. The block of four Dutch cyclocross riders was broken to the third position by the American American Clara Honsinger.

Nash is the vice president of the UCI Cycling Union

Prachatice native Nash finished tenth with a loss of 1:46 to Brandová and in the overall ranking of the World Championships she ranks fourteenth.

In the men’s race, the Belgian Quinten Hermans scored the first cup victory of his career, followed by three of his compatriots. With a gap of 37 seconds, Waterloo winner Eli Iserbyt finished second and maintained the lead in the series.
