Los Angeles (SID) – The Atlanta Braves clearly beat the Houston Astros in their first game of the final series for the Major League Baseball (MLB) title. The Braves prevailed 6-2 at the Astros and took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven mode of the World Series. The second duel will take place again in Houston on Wednesday evening (local time).
The Texans last won the MLB title in 2017, Atlanta has been waiting for a championship in the World Series for 26 years.
