Marcus Rashford finally opened after Manchester United were crushed by Liverpool at Old Trafford four days ago. He was embarrassed to accept a crushing defeat from The Reds.

Rashford appeared as a starter when Man United hosted Liverpool at Old Trafford in the Premier League match, Sunday (10/24/2021). Plotted in the right sector of the attack, he was unable to penetrate the tight back line of the visitors.

Instead of scoring goals, Man United conceded four goals in the first half. Liverpool added one goal in the second half, as well as ending the duel with a landslide victory 5-0.

This result is clearly very embarrassing for Manchester United. The Red Devils for the first time in 66 years have lost five goals without reply at home!

Several Man United players such as Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw apologized to fans shortly after the match. The words of regret from the bad result were also given by Cristiano Ronaldo on social media.

Marcus Rashford became the latest Man United player to express an apology to fans on social media, Thursday (28/10). The 23-year-old admitted that he could only comment after four days of being embarrassed by the defeat of Man United.

“I can’t lie if you don’t hear anything from me here because as a United fan I don’t know what to say after Sunday. I’m so embarrassed,” Rashford tweeted via Twitter account @MarcusRashford.

“Our fans are everything and you guys don’t deserve that. We will work hard to resolve this. We have to make amends for ourselves,” said Marcus Rashford.
