a book to celebrate a special anniversary, that of 100 years of basketball in Lombardy. It is one of the events that the world of the wedge ball is organizing throughout the peninsula for its centenary, but Milan and the whole region have always been one of the driving forces of Italian basketball. Thus the FederBasket Regional Committee accepted the idea of collecting in one volume everything that has characterized Lombard basketball in its 100 years and beyond of basketball because, in reality, there is also talk of the beginnings in which basketball-ball (such as it was called at the time, complete with a dash) was the new discipline in vogue among Milanese students and soldiers as early as 1919, a few months after the end of the Great War.
Don Mario Zaninelli, Sergio Giuntini e Sergio Meda are the authors of this book which in 265 pages tells a trainload of anecdotes from the founding fathers, passing through the famous triangle that dominated male Europe Milan-Varese-Cantù, to the female one with the Geas Sesto San Giovanni and the Pool Comense, until recently with the return of Milan to the Euroleague Final Four.
