The real estate developer SIA “LNK Properties” will invest five million euros in a private sports complex with football and other sports fields in Valdlauči, Kekava region, near the Riga border, the developer’s representatives told LETA.
Currently, a private multifunctional sports complex “LNK sporta parks” is being built in Valdlauči, on the bank of the Daugava, in an area of 65,000 square meters.
The complex will include three full-size football fields, two of them with the highest quality natural grass, and one with the latest generation of artificial turf. The football field will also become the new home of the Optibet Football Super League club RFS.
Beach volleyball, basketball, 3 × 3 basketball, streetball, floorball, beach football and smaller football fields will also be built. More than 300 people will be able to play sports in the complex at the same time.
A modern children’s playground will also be available at LNK Sports Park.
The opening of the sports complex is planned for next summer.
A conference hall, changing rooms, showers and other technical rooms for sports events will also be built in Valdlauči. The project developer is LNK Properties. Until now, the company has specialized in the construction of industrial parks and residential buildings, but “LNK sporta parks” will be the first sports building implemented by the company.
Pavel Broitman, a member of the Board of LNK Properties, claims that this is the largest private sports infrastructure project implemented in Latvia.
During the construction of the facility, LNK Properties will learn new construction technologies and gain experience to implement similar sports complex projects elsewhere in Latvia in the future. “Our experience could also be interesting for the sports industry in neighboring countries,” says Broitman.
Representatives of LNK Properties explain that LNK Sports Park will be the center of sports life, and it will also perform a social function. It will not be a business project, because a profit from this complex is not expected.
The new sports base will also offer support and discount programs, under which the use of the infrastructure will be free of charge for certain groups of children and youth. A children’s playground will be available free of charge.
LNK Properties was registered in October 2019 and its share capital is EUR 8,662,782. The sole owner of LNK Properties is Natalia Milova.
