KOMPAS.com – The representatives of Indonesia have completed the struggle in the men’s and women’s team tournaments, the 2020 Thomas and Uber Cups.
After this, the Indonesian badminton players will fight again at the Denmark Open 2021 which is scheduled to take place at Odense Sport Park starting Tuesday (19/10/2021).
Towards the start of the Super 1000 level tournament, PBSI as the parent of Indonesian badminton released a list of players who will appear.
The list shows that the men’s doubles sector has the most representatives, namely six pairs.

Of the six pairs that will appear, there are two of the world’s best men’s doubles, namely Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan.
In addition, Indonesia also sent the world’s seventh-ranked men’s doubles, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.

Fajar/Rian performed brilliantly when representing Indonesia in the 2020 Thomas Cup.
They have been decisive several times and managed to contribute points in the final against China.

Furthermore, a potential young couple also appeared, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Martin.
The couple, nicknamed The Babies, are now ranked 37th in the world.
Their name began to skyrocket after winning the 2019 BWF World Junior Championship in Russia.
When men’s doubles are the sector with the most representation, women’s singles send the fewest representatives.
At the Denmark Open 2021, Indonesia will only be represented by two women’s singles, namely Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Ruselli Hartawan.

In ranking, Gregoria (21) and Ruselli (42) are two of the three best women’s singles owned by Indonesia.
As for the two potential women’s singles names representing Indonesia in the 2020 Uber Cup, Putri Kusuma Wardani and Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo were transferred to take part in other tournaments.
Based on the PSBI release, Putri Kusuma Wardani will appear at the Czech Open 2021, October 21-24.
Meanwhile, Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo will fight in the Denmark Junior International Series 2021, October 21-24.
